Job Summary

A janitor cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.

Responsibilities

A janitor oversees keeping the workplace clean, organized and disinfected. The following responsibilities include:

Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Performs work assignments in a team with other employees.
Follow the scheduled audit cleaning checklist to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained according to standards established by the facility.
Take direction and respond to supervision.
Talk with manager, peers, and customers in a professional manner.
Use proper personal protective equipment.
Understand customer service and satisfaction.
Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and restrooms.
Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Maintain cleaning inventory and placing orders for new products when needed.
Remove debris from sidewalks.
Empty trash and recycling bins.

Qualifications

Must be energetic, pleasant, and professional.
Strong communication skills.
Recognize and understand safety requirements and meet company handbook expectations.
Ability to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow checklist and schedules.

*This is a part-time position and is located in Lacy, WA.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
